Rapid ROS test , Seminal reactive oxygen species staining kit (NBT method)
The experimental operation is simple and fast. It is equipped with a special reaction tube. Just add an appropriate amount
of sperm into the reaction tube, add 100ul NBT solution, and then add NBT buffer to the red scale line. Mix it well. After
incubation for 30 minutes, observe the results with naked eyes.
Clinical significance:
This test is mainly used for the etiological analysis and prognosis monitoring of male infertility. it is also used to evaluate the
level of sperm reactive oxygen species in male infertile patients, and the effect of antioxidant treatment.
Test principle:
The superoxide ions of sperm ROS have high reactivity, which can be reduced by NBT to blue formazan. The color of formazan
is positively correlated with the content of O2- in semen.
